Honey Price in Pakistan: What Decides the Price per Kg

By Khyber Organic · Updated 30 October 2026

Why honey prices in Pakistan vary so much, how to compare the price per kg fairly, and what to check before paying more for single-flower honey.

Why one jar costs more than another

Flower source: honey from mixed flowers is usually cheaper than single-flower honeys such as sidr, which are produced in smaller amounts.

Season and harvest size: a poor harvest means less honey and higher prices.

Processing: raw, filtered and heat-treated honey are handled differently, and that affects cost and texture.

Pack size and packaging: larger packs usually cost less per kilogram, and glass jars cost more than pouches.

Seller and testing: a seller who sources carefully, tests and stands behind the product has higher costs than one who does not.

How to compare prices fairly

Always compare the price per kilogram, not the price per jar. Divide the price by the pack weight in grams and multiply by 1,000. As an illustration, a 250 g jar at Rs. 800 works out to Rs. 3,200 per kg.

Compare like with like: mixed-flower honey with mixed-flower honey, sidr with sidr, raw with raw.

When a low price is a warning sign

If the price per kg is far below what other sellers charge for the same type of honey, ask why. Honey is among the foods most often reported as adulterated, so an unusually cheap price deserves a question before you pay.

Common questions

What is the price of pure honey per kg in Pakistan?

There is no single price. It depends on the type of honey, the season, the pack size and the seller. Compare the price per kg using the method in this guide. Current prices at our shop are listed below and on the honey category page.

Why is sidr honey more expensive?

Sidr honey comes mainly from one flower source and is produced in smaller quantities than mixed-flower honey, which is why it is usually priced higher.
